All-seeing Yarn with Eyeballs! Not for the faint-hearted…

I came across the quirky handspun yarns of Insubordiknit from one of my Yahoo groups. This chick is SERIOUSLY COOL! She handspins all of her yarns with an amazing variety of textures, colours and features that really set them apart from the pack. Very creative, very funny blog too! Some of her yarns are available for sale.

Came across pull-tab crochet from one of my Yahoo Groups

Here’s something fascinating – crochet your own wearable art using the pull-tabs from soda (softdrink) cans!  Pop Top Lady is doing some fascinating things with these small, useful items and helping to save the planet from waste at the same time.  Bravo!

Yippee! My yarn is here, my yarn is here!

I’m very into socks right now.  I had a special order for some Lion Brand Sock-Ease from which there is some leftover.  If I don’t sell it, I might use it…(conspiratorial laugh).

I’m also into toys.  Currently crocheting a cute pig that I found in an 80s craft magazine.  Going well so far.  I’m using my Caron Simply Soft for this project.  So far, so good – a little splitty but the overall feel is so lovely, I’m willing to compromise on that.

Also getting ready to go to the Mt Gravatt Show in 2 weeks.  I will be setting up a table to exhibit some of my yarns near the crochet.  Hopefully will get some interest, if not more!
