Some more new projects….

Here are some pics of my most recently-finished crochet projects:

1.  Girl’s bolero cardigan

This is modelled by my lovely daughter Immy and it was crocheted with Rowan All Seasons Cotton in a grey multi-shade.  This yarn has now been discontinued.  Any worsted-weight yarn will substitute so you can make it for summer or autumn as a jacket over a skivvy or long-sleeved tee.

The pattern was Lion Brand’s “Urban Girl Cropped Cardi”.

2.  My next project was a crochet chevron-stitch scarf from Candi Jensen’s Book  “Crochet Scarves”.

It was crocheted with two skeins of Noro Kureyon.

Crochet with Noro

I’m so in love with Noro right now.  I am now stocking Noro Kureyon, Silk Garden and Silk Garden Sock.  I just love the way the colours blend seamlessly together!  I am crocheting a pair of woollen nappy covers with Kureyon, using a pattern from Jenny King, published in Yarn magazine, Issue 13, March 2009. BUT it’s such a shame that the designers who write for Noro don’t include crochet patterns for Noro!  Grrrr….  However, I found a pretty basketweave pattern for a scarf with Noro.  I’m going to try this one as soon as I finish the nappy covers.

Any other crocheters love Noro but hate the fact that there’s no commercial patterns?  Please post your links in this thread if you have found one or more you’d like to share.
