CH 40, (Measurement 23cm) turn and SC in back loop of first 2 ST’s then HDC into back loop of next ST , continue along = 2 x SC & 38 HDC = 40 ST’s, turn and repeat pattern, remembering last 2 ST’s are SC’s.  Crocheting into back of loop creates a ribbed effect. The 2 SC at begining is for the top of Beanie, that you are going to pull together at the end.

Change colour every 4 rows, change at SC end of Beanie.

Once reached approx 43cm long or approx 40 rows (depends on stitch tension)

Sew the two sides together, at the smaller end (SC stitches) use darning needle with yarn and loop through top of Stitches so that you can pull the yarn together to create the top of the beanie.

Make a pompom to sew on top of your Beanie.
