Recipe:
This pattern can also be used as a recipe if you don’t want them exactly the same size/shape. To make it larger: Add 1 sc between each increase for each new row in the flat circle.

Decreases: If you don’t want it to decrease in the top and instead keep it flat, end it before the increases.

Handle: If you want to have a handle, ch more than 4 and sl st in the opposite side. Get rid of the handle altogether if you want it to!

How many skeins of red heart grande do you need for this pattern

    1. Jasmine

Hi Avery, We would suggest at least 2 balls would be required.

  2. elouise890

Given that the red heart is currently out of stock and not available, are there any others you recommend using?

Thank you for your enquiry, we would suggest the Bernat Maker this yarn is really good for baskets.

    Hi!
Just found this pattern. So easy to follow.

If I want a more open/hanging pod, more like the first picture, what should I do?

    Thanks!

Hi, i really like this pattern but I don´t understand when to begin the increases if I want it bigger… can you tell me, which round should be? thanks!!

Like others I was hoping this was for the first basket pictured. Although I like my basket and the instructions were pretty clear ( stitch count helps us noobs) mine came out more like the second picture.

The first basket pictured looks like has a cinched ribbon or tie around the handle, drawing that side together more. Maybe cinch around your handle to see if it makes the basket shaped more like a teardrop than a circle? Cheers!

  7. Jenica Griffith

Do you know approximately the finished dimensions?

  8. Mary

It looks like double crochets are used in picture, but there are none in the pattern, is that right?

  9. Shirley

I’ve just made this as well and I don’t like the shape. It is not a tear drop shape! Can anyone shed some light on what the problem is please?

    1. Emily

I agree it looks nothing like the photo and I’m confused

    2. Linda

It’s the angle the picture was taken, still misleading though.

It says if you don’t want to do the decreases on top you can stop. Then on the instruction (Recipe) it says you can add sc on every increase so that it will open up to look larger and will look like a teardrop. You can try it and watch the shape as you go.
