Our most popular yarns and products may sell out quickly and will be placed temporarily on backorder. This means the items are currently out of stock but are on order from our supplier. We place weekly orders, and delivery from our supplier typically takes 7–10 days. Your backordered items will be shipped to you as soon as we receive them.

We are an online store. However, if you’re based in Melbourne, Victoria, you can email us, and we can arrange for you to purchase directly from our American Yarns storeroom.

Once we receive your order and confirm payment, we ship your items within 3 business days via Australia Post. Delivery times vary depending on your location, typically taking 3–7 business days. Remote or outback locations may take slightly longer.

We process all transactions in AUD (Australian dollars). Accepted payment methods include:

This depends on the size of the blanket and the ply of the yarn. For a baby blanket measuring approximately 100cm x 100cm, the quantity varies. Send us an email at admin@americanyarns.com.au with the size and yarn details, and we’ll help you estimate.

The recommended crochet hook size depends on the ply of your yarn. Most patterns specify the correct hook or knitting needle size, and yarn labels provide this information as well.
